Reason for making this template

I noticed that a lot of users had commented on the large size of the existing Indian cuisine template. It took up most of the page and made it difficult to make use of infoboxes as it was a vertical template. Also, it only linked to different regional cuisine pages, some of which have still not been developed, and have a lot of red links.

This template can be easily added at the end of a page, and I have tried to link all existing popular dishes of India, also segregated by region.

You can help by linking to more dishes.

Comment

This is much much better, I would not worry about putting dishes in the infobox, there should be a link to a List of Indian Dishes instead, as the list is potentially endless.--Chef Tanner (talk) 16:55, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I agree. The term Dishes has no end. The term Cuisine on the other hand is sufficiently broad. I would suggest that you Be Bold and edit that template itself. Rather than create a new one. ChiragPatnaik (talk) 05:00, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
