Judeophobia

Look like this template is now getting hit by Scientus' crusade to replace antisemitism with his favorite obscure neologism. --NeilN talk to me 01:26, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

  • WP:IDIOM " If a literal interpretation of a phrase makes no sense in the context of a sentence, it should be reworded. "
  • Literal and figurative language: Literal language uses words directly according to their proper meanings (signified).
  • Sign (linguistics):the signifier (French signifiant), the "shape" of a word, its phonic component, i.e. the sequence of graphemes (letters), e.g., <"c">-<"a">-<"t">, or phonemes (speech sounds), e.g. /kæt/

As the antisemitism article already makes states "anti" "semite" and "ism" are three graphemes. Literally this means antagonism against all Semites, and there are far more Muslim Semites than Jewish Semites, which violates WP:IDIOM above, thus it must be reworded. Judeophobia is a term over a hundred years old with wide usage in books that even my small local library has, and the Zionist phamphlet from which it came is widely cited , thus it is not a neologism. Also, the word Judeophobia has even influenced the term Islamophobia.

antisemitism in the context of islam is contradictory on many levels, and should be change to the clear term JudeophobiaScientus (talk) 01:35, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
